Jo Maeder is the author of the national bestseller "When I Married My Mother: A Daughter's Search for What Really Matters—and How She Found It Caring for Mama Jo" and "Opposites Attack: A Novel With Recipes Provencal." She has written for The New York Times, More, AOL, and O. Henry Magazine. She was voted Best Local Author of 2013 by the readers of Greensboro's News & Record and she started the community reading event The BookUP, which promotes long-form reading in a short-form world while simultaneously enjoying an adult beverage.
