Membership FAQ


Whether you are a current DAME supporter or thinking about becoming one, below are some of the most frequently asked questions about our membership program.  If you have a question that isn’t answered in the FAQs below, please feel free to send an email to [email protected]

Q: I’d like to support DAME. How do I become a member?

A: Well, first thank you! Please visit damemagazine.com/membership/ where you can sign up for recurring monthly or annual support or make a one-time donation. If you’d like information about donating $1,000 or more, please contact send an email to [email protected]

Q: I signed up — when do I get my swag?

A: We mail swag on a monthly basis to members (including P.O. boxes and military addresses). Unfortunately, the USPS can be very slow.

Q: Will I get a confirmation of my membership?

A: Yes, you’ll get an email confirming your signup, and each month you’ll receive a receipt for payment.

Q: Is there a minimum?

A: Our minimum monthly membership starts at $5.00 but you can donate as little as $1.00 (and we promise it matters!)

Q: When does my membership start?

A: Your membership starts when we receive your contribution!

Q: How long does a DAME membership last?

A: Until you cancel recurring payments, which you can do easily by logging in here.

Q: When will I be charged for my membership? 

A: If you signed up for a monthly membership, you’ll be charged each month, on the day you originally signed up.  If you signed up for a yearly membership, you will be charged on the year anniversary that you originally signed up on.  Our memberships are recurring and will continue to bill until you cancel.

Q: When will I receive the members-only newsletter?

A: We currently send out a weekly newsletter to our members. In 2022, we’ll be launching an additional quarterly newsletter with more exclusive content for our members! You can unsubscribe from the member newsletter at any time by clicking here.

Q: Can I gift a membership to the DAME to someone else?

A:  Yes, and please do! You can find gift memberships here: damemagazine.com/membership/

Q: How do I cancel my monthly or yearly membership?

A: We know that financial circumstances can change. You may cancel a recurring membership at any time by logging in to your account and clicking “manage subscription.” You can also increase or decrease the monthly or yearly amount given to DAME or update your payment information there as well. Login here.

Q: How can I update the email address associated with my donation?

A: If you’d like to change the email address associated with your membership, please contact [email protected]

Q: How do I update my payment method or membership amount?

A: You may update your membership at any time by visiting your account. There, you can change your recurring amount, or update your payment method. Login here.  If you’ve misplaced your password, just reset it at the prompt.

Q: Can I donate with a check?  

A: Yes, we’re grateful for any amount in all forms! Please mail your check to:
