In which the world’s favorite Ryan detects notes of oak and blueberry.
After a hard day being awesome, the star of Drive, The Ides of March and our wildest fantasies, is seen here taking a moment to savor the complex and alluring scent of his own fragrant manpits.
Notice his concentration, the slight furrow of the brow as he parses the symphony of aromas that waft through his exquisitely tailored tweed jacket. The eyes are closed so as better to focus on the nose, since our Ryan is, on top of everything else, an accomplished sommelier. And so it is that he discovers toasty oak and tannins, the perky whiff of berries, a burnt waffle, a vanilla bean, and the smoke of a distant Cohiba.
He hears trumpets. His scent is so intoxicating that any lesser mortal would be hopelessly seduced. But Gosling is man enough to resist his own charms.
