Heidi Klum wants to steal your boyfriend ... for his jeans

It’s August, that happy time of year when stores are begging us to buy their flimsy summer clothes at ridiculously low prices in order to make room for new fall inventory.  So, when the last pair of white high-waisted shorts is sold to our ten-year-old niece, what kind of new pants options will we see on the shelves for next season?  If the recent denim selections of celebrities like Katie Holmes and Heidi Klum are any indication, we’ll all be running around town in the boyfriend jean.

You probably remember this slouchy silhouette from the early 90s, which was, of course, a very meaningful period in fashion (who doesn't miss chokers, bodysuit tops and tiny backpack purses?).  Certainly, the boyfriend cut was comfortable enough to wear to a Color Me Badd concert back then, but it didn’t do much to flatter anyone in the ass department.

Well, it still doesn't.  But this time around, the boyfriend jean has been restyled with a low-slung waist and rolled-up cuffs that rest just above the ankles.  The updated shape is a little Zubaz-esque, but with a hot pair of heels it might be something fun to test out … when you are out somewhere with no chance of running into anyone you know.
