You've snooped in your boyfriend's e-mail or maybe taken a peak at the latest text message on his BlackBerry. But have you ever considered a career as a fidelity inspector? The job, once left to portly private investigators in ill-fitting suits, gets a feminine spin in The Fidelity Files, the debut novel from Jessica Brody.
Her main character Jennifer Brody is a tough-talking, independent women, who can seemingly break any man on the planet. Think Jennifer Garner in Alias mixed with Jennifer Love Hewitt in Heartbreakers. Just your simple, average, girl-next-door. The book follows Brody's identity crisis as she finds herself falling for a man, while trying to keep in mind that all men are scum. The reader benefits from her misadventures and discovers that all too many men fail the fidelity test.
If you're a trusting soul or you're just looking for a guy, it turns out this book is not a bad blueprint for how to pick up a man in a bar. Let's say you like him; you can always try the fidelity test later.
The Fidelity Files is set for release on June 10.
