We were skeptical when it premiered, but this show about a guy whose touch brings people back from the dead makes us feel warm and gooey inside. Plus, Pee Wee Herman guest stars.

Two British journalists try celebrity fad diets for a month the way Morgan Spurlock ate nothing but McDonalds in Super Size Me. The results are just as scary.

Scrooged
Anytime you like, HBO OnDemand
It’s the time of year when Christmas movies play 24-hours a day. This is one of the few worth watching. A Christmas Story is acceptable, too.

Where’s Amelia Earhart?

Tuesday, Dec. 11th at 8pm, National Geographic Channel
This special tries to figure out what the heck happened to Amelia Earhart as she flew her solo mission around the globe. Some theories make sense (she crashed in the ocean) while others are far-fetched (she was a spy captured by the Japanese military).

I Am An Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA
Saturday, Dec. 8th at 1:30pm, HBO
Animal testing is bad, but PETA goes as far as to think seeing-eye dogs are evil. This doc looks at founder Ingrid Newkirk, who’s built PETA into a $25 million operation. We’re hoping for the footage where she douses fur-clad fashionistas in red paint.

The Amazing Race
