Project Runway
Season Premiere, Wednesday Nov. 14 at 10pm, Bravo
Rarely have we been so excited for a season premiere. Heidi, Tim and Nina—we have missed you so.
Explorer: Inside the Body Trade
Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10pm, National Geographic Channel
Lisa Ling, formerly of The View, investigates the human organ black market. Creepy.
The Office
Thursdays at 9pm, NBC
Remember back when it was cool to say, “The British version of The Office is far superior to the American?” We’re glad everyone got over that. The show is hysterical, while getting the depression of cubicle life spot on.
Art in the Twenty-First Century
Nip/Tuck
Tuesdays at 10pm, FX
Portia de Rossi finally plays a lesbian character. And thank goodness it’s on one of our already-favorite shows.
Orangutan Island
Fridays at 8:30pm, Animal Planet
A reality show about orangutans—genius. Since it’s on Friday nights, this is what DVR is meant for.
Murder by the Book
Mondays at 10pm, Court TV
This series, about the real-life murders that captivated famous crime writers (think David Baldacci and James Ellroy), is disturbing. But somehow you just can’t change the channel. Watch with the doors locked and the lights on.
The Price is Right
Weekdays at 11am, CBS
Admit it. You’re slightly curious how Drew Carey is doing as a replacement for Bob Barker. The result is not as retro, but still bizarrely fun to watch. Long live Plinko!
Cashmere Mafia
John and Jane Toll Free
Nov. 13 at 7pm, HBO
Anyone whose ever wanted to throw their phone across the room after a particularly annoying customer service call will want to watch this doc about call center workers in India, who interpret “America” in fascinating ways.
The Anniversary Party
Nov. 24 at 10:45pm, Independent Film Channel
A movie about a (you guessed it) anniversary party gone terribly wrong. In addition to Parker Posey, Jennifer Beales, and Gwyneth Paltrow, it reunites Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates for the first time since Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Desperate Housewives
Sundays at 9pm, ABC
Is it just us, or are the follies on Wisteria Lane suddenly interesting again?
