Kate Torgovnick

Kate Torgovnick is Dame's editor-at-large, a title she loves since it makes her sound like a criminal on the lam. Prior to landing at Dame, she was a writer/editor at Jane Magazine, where she wrote investigative features and covered entertainment, health, and relationships. Kate's articles have also appeared in the New York Times, Newsweek, Page Six Magazine and British Glamour, among others. Her first book, Cheer!: Three Teams on a Quest for College Cheerleading's Ultimate Prize (Simon and Schuster), hit bookstore shelves in March 2008. It's a sometimes shocking, always intense narrative nonfiction romp through the obsessive world of competitive cheerleading (www.cheerthebook.com).
