Let Out Your Inner Slutty Big Bird This Halloween
‘Tis a little more than a week before Halloween, and we know you’ve been overwhelmed by the immense number of slutty “fill-in-the-blank” outfits available.
But do you really want to be one of the 10 slutty cops or nurses at your Halloween party? Yandy.com has the solution for you: Slutty Big Bird. And Sesame Workshop, which produces and owns Sesame Street, is not happy about it. Clearly trying to sidestep any legal issues, Yandy cleverly sells the Big Bird headpiece separately from the costume itself and calls their costume “Exclusive Yellow Dress and Stockings,” which is described as a “yellow cuddle plush mini dress with yellow mesh insets, strapless silhouette, matching yellow mesh fingerless gloves and orange striped thigh high stockings with attached bird feet.” Sexy, indeed.
Sesame Workshop isn’t buying any of their non-infringement crap and has sent Yandy.com a cease and desist letter, requesting it remove the offending costumes, which also include Sexy Bert and Sexy Ernie, from its website.
If Yandy complies before you have a chance to get one, don’t worry. It appears that it also sells the officially licensed Big Bird costume, which though less sexy, is still quite flirty. You could always cut some holes in it and rip off a couple inches off the bottom if you want to slut it up.
