Morgan Freeman is Not Dead, Is Not Narrating 50 Shades of Grey

Morgan Freeman did not have a big weekend.

Is Morgan Freeman dead? Is Morgan Freeman narrating "50 Shades of Grey"? The Internet demands answers.

Contrary to what your Facebook friend Deborah posted this weekend, the answer to both is thank god, no, and unfortunately, no.

Freeman's "death" is just he latest Internet celebrity death hoax, a list that includes Paul McCartney, Justin Bieber, Luke Perry and Lady Gaga, among many others. For the record, this is the second time the Twitterverse has tried to kill Morgan Freeman.

Nowadays you're nobody until half the Internet thinks you're dead.

As for the "50 Shades" rumor, that was started thanks to a YouTube video (since removed) in which actor Josh Robert Thompson (known best for his Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions on "The Howard Stern Show") portrayed the actor reading everyone's favorite mommy porn.

Here's hoping Freemaan actually does narrate "50 Shades." If he can make those boring penguins sound compelling, imagine what he could do with Ana and Christian.
