Get Your Very Own Mind-Reading Cat Ears Headband

Sure, why not. But is it safe? Who is behind this?

Cats have figured out how to take over the planet.

Step 1:  Be an aloof animal to make humans desire you more.

Step 2: Infiltrate the Internet with cute pictures and videos, insert subliminal messages.

Step 3:  Get humans to wear cat ears that can control their thoughts.

Necomimi launched yesterday at Comic-Con in San Diego. This headband features big white brainwave reading cat ears that supposedly move according to the wearer’s mood. The ears stand up when the wearer is alert, droop in relax mode, and wiggle when the wearer is "in the zone." So we're led to believe we're in control. It may begin with a wiggle and a giggle, but cats can't be trusted. Neither can robots.

What happens when suddenly the ears move on their own, causing shifting moods in its wearers—who will begin licking their own arms and scratching at couches, chasing specks of dust and coughing up hairballs?

How did the cats manage to get biosensor company NeuroSky to think these cute little ears were a harmless, fun novelty item? We'll find out soon enough...but will it be too late?
